Love Your Mind Self-Care Workshops

This blog post is a little different - it’s all about us and what we have in store for you in the new year.

The whole idea behind Love Your Mind was to create a comfortable space for people (specifically youth and young adults) to learn more about how they can practice self-care. Self-care is a huge part of mental wellness and having a good set of self-care tactics at your finger tips is a great way to help yourself.

So, on January 19 and 20, 2019 we will be hosting self-care workshops in Winnipeg, Man. for youth and young adults to be able to practice different forms of self-care.

We will be focusing on five areas of self-care in particular:

  • Nutrition

  • Music

  • Mindfulness

  • Expressive Arts

  • Yoga

Each instructor is trained and will be able to provide information about how these techniques can be useful- and how you can modify them to fit your own style and routine (stay tuned to find out who they are!).

You’ll also be given a self-care package to take home with you so you can continue to practice self-care on your own.

Both days will be the exact same workshops but they are being held in two different locations. At each workshop you’ll learn about the five different self-care techniques and get to try them out for yourself.

The workshops on Jan. 19, 2019 will be at the Prairie Lights Dining Room at Red River College’s Notre Dame Campus.

The workshops on Jan. 20, 2019 will be at Temple 23 Winnipeg in Winnipeg’s Exchange District.
